Hello, Reilly McScruff here reporting to you from the Terrier Times. June 22, 2012 is National Take Your Pet to Work Day. I think this is a great opportunity for your office or company to do a little team building by participating in this fun event. If your company hasn’t had any raises or promotions for donkey’s years, this is an excellent and inexpensive way to boost moral in the office. Some ideas to peruse: have a group dog walk at lunchtime, invite a local pet shelter to come out and showcase some adoptable animals for the day, or have your department volunteer for a day at a pet shelter. If your office building is too large or it would be too dangerous or inconvenient to have a pet in the office or workplace, have everyone do a “flat version” of their pet (or desired pet if they do not have one). Set up a contest to vote with donations, and give the money to a local shelter. There are many ways to be a part of Take Your Pet to Work Day, but check with your boss or HR Dept before setting anything up on your own. Show a little Dunkirk spirit!! Well time for lunch, I packed a big piece of smoked Gouda cheese from Whole Foods. YUMMY!! It’s going to be bloody delicious……..
